Since its inception in November 1981,Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Ahmedabad Regional Center has come a long way. It started with 20 member and today there are more than 175 members.The Center started with a voluntary contribution of Rs.300 from its founding member and its Balance Sheet as at March 31,2002 shows an amount of over Rs.9.0 Lakh.

               The center has purchased its own office building with infrastructure facility of computer/ Internet in 1998.
                The center has started a library for the benifit of the members.
